There are different types of adhesive vinyl.

Permanent vinyl is a strong, durable material that can last many seasons. Rain, snow, heat, and other unfavorable weather conditions shouldn’t affect it.

This type of vinyl has a super-strong adhesive for obvious reasons and therefore you need to use super tacky transfer tape in order to release the vinyl from the carrier.

Temporary adhesive vinyl on the other hand has been designed to only last for a short-term period, usually under a year. Therefore this type of vinyl has a light adhesive.
