1.Build, design, and place your setting to take the space of your design. When you mirror your design, flipping the design makes the design side up.


2.Then place the shiny side of metallic vinyl on the mat with the dull side facing up while cutting. Then proceed to cut and weed out the excess metallic htv vinyl.


3.Set the household iron between linen and cotton, pending the item that is being pressed. Put the fabric canvas on a flat hard surface, be sure not to use the iron steam function to get the best application press.


4.Cover with a sheet of Teflon paper and press down iron with firm pressure for 30 seconds to 1 minute.


5.Make sure the design cools down for a few minutes before continuing to peel the application sheet. Ensure you pull only once for optimum results. In case design peels the application sheet, press down for a few seconds again.


So what fabric materials are great for heat transfer vinyl? Cotton ticks all the boxes while nylon materials do not quite cut it. Also, metallic htv on 100% Polyester, Spandex, Lycra, 50% cotton/ 50% polyester and 100% cotton are recommended materials.


WAYS TO CARE FOR HTV PRESSED MATERIALS

☆ For proper care of the fabric, wait till about a day or two before washing the fabric.

☆ Stay away from bleach

☆ Allow drying on low or better still hang to dry.

☆Wash and rinse out in cold water.
